- Practical Sailor magazine rates “Excellent” after 6 months; “Good” after 12 months in Florida waters
- Soft ablative formula wears over time releasing bio-fouling and preventing paint build up
- For use on fiberglass, aluminum, wood, outboards, outdrives, and trim tabs
- Fast drying formula, multiple coats per day possible
- No maximum dry-to-launch times
- Safe to haul in and out of the water
- Compatible with most epoxy-type primers and popular traditional antifouling paints
- Coverage rate: 15 ft2 /can
- Available colors: White, Gray, Black, Metallic Silver, Metallic Blue Silver
- Packaging: 12 oz. spray can
- Thinner: ePaint EP-13 thinner, clean up
- Application: Spray
- Finish: Eggshell-like finish
- Recommended number of coats: 2 or 3 full coats
- Compatibility: Fiberglass, aluminum, wood, outboards, outdrives, trim tabs, epoxy type primers, and most popular traditional bottom paints. Safe for aluminum and metal; prime bare metal first with ePaint EP-Prime 1000
For complete application procedures and requirements see the Tech Data Sheet tab.
Considerations:
- Do not apply EP-21 on unpainted metal surfaces; for bare metal, first coat with EP-Prime 1000 corrosion inhibiting primer.
- Due to the soft ablativeness of EP-21, applying the recommended number of coats is strongly recommended for maximum service life
- For easier application at cool or warm temperatures, or for spray application, reduce with E-Paint EP-13 thinner
- EP-21 does not contain a pesticide and it is not considered an antifouling coating; typically boat movement provides enough force to knock growth away from hull. Depending on boat usage and environment, maintenance scrubbing may be required to keep hull clean but growth is readily removed as long as paint is on the hull
- Take care when cleaning EP-21 surface via power washing at end of season; too forceful spray technique will remove good paint
- EP-21 is a very soft ablative and should be removed before re-coating with a different paint system; EP-21 is readily removed by power washing or sanding

- Formerly only available for U.S. Government agencies, SN-1 now approved for use on commercial vessels and commercial application
- Use in both fresh and salt water
- Features ePaint’s patented photo-active technology and Sea Nine 211N™ active
- Compatible over most popular antifouling paints and easy for commercial applicators to apply
- Will not promote galvanic corrosion on aluminum, steel or metal hulls and parts
- Uses:
- Crew boats
- Patrol boats
- Utility boats
- Emergency response, police, and fire boats
- Transport vessels
- Fishing boats
- Military assault craft
Considerations:
Due to the photoactive nature of ePaint SN-1, additional coats around the waterline are strongly recommended to extend service life.
SN-1 is thermo-plastic by nature and hot temperatures above 90oF can soften SN-1 slightly, particularly on aluminum boats in full sun, which can cause paint to dig into pads and straps. If SN-1 is to be launched in hot climates, consider launching boat in the morning before full sun and temperatures climb. Place plastic sheeting between pads and straps before lifting. The thermo-plastic nature of SN-1 has no effect on antifouling performance and paint will immediately harden when placed into service of cooler waters.
Other:
ePaint SN-1 coating technology was developed, uses materials from, and is proudly manufactured in the USA. Please contact ePaint.com at websales@epaint.com for more information on ePaint SN-1 or other ePaint products.

- High performance antifouling paint recommended for fresh and salt water
- Features Zinc Omadine® and ePaint’s patented photoactive technology to prevent settling and attachment of hard shell-type organisms
- Formulated with fluoro-polymers to provide the lowest friction surface when wet
- Great choice for the serious sailor
- Extremely effective antifouling protection
- Prevents grass, slime, algae and bacteria
- Offers drag reduction and fuel savings
- Good for boats that are frequently hauled and launched by trailer
Considerations:
- Due to the photo-active nature of ZO-HP, additional coats around the waterline strongly recommended to extend service life.
- ZO-HP is viscous, for easier application at cool or warm temperatures or for spray application, reduce only with ePaint EP-13 thinner
- For a smooth racing bottom finish, spray application is the recommended method. Alternately, ZO-HP may be rolled and once hard it can be wet sanded and polished to a mirror like finish. Note: it will take several days at warm temperatures due to fluoropolymer technology for paint to harden to a point where it will readily sand and not gum up paper, especially if applied at cool temperatures.
Other:

Description
